Ken Robinson is recognized as a successful winning trial lawyer, having tried over 300 jury trials, civil and criminal, complex white collar cases, murders, conspiracies, drugs, frauds, and difficult civil cases.  He has won acquittals in over 70% of his trials.  Before entering private practice in 1975 Robinson was a Justice Department Assistant United States Attorney in Washington D.C. where he tried 100 jury trials and argued over 40 appellate cases he had briefed.

In June, 1973 Robinson left the Justice Department to represent Dare to Be Great, Glenn W. Turner and his corporations in a 9 month mail fraud trial in federal court in Jacksonville, FL.  His defense presentation was the basis for the "hung jury ", non-conviction in the trial as reported by some jurors and the client afterwards.  Robinson wrote and published "The Great American Mail - Fraud Trial " in 1975 about that trial, one where then renowned attorney F. Lee Bailey had defended himself, an indicted co-conspirator.  In 1975 Robinson opened his own law firm, and won 26 of 30 murder trials.  He defended a congressman, then a judge, DEA agent, FBI agent, and a President of a local Bar.  He tried cases involving security fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering, real estate fraud, cases in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, and California.  These were some of the jurisdictions where he handled compex civil and criminal, white collar and conspiracy and murder cases.  Civil verdicts and judgments recovered well over $100,000,000.00.  His criminal trials resulted in acquittals in over 70% of cases tried.

Robinson was a guest lecturer at Georgetown Law and Harvard Law Schools on Trial Advocacy, the JAG school for military attorneys in Charlottesville, VA, and at Bar Conventions for the South Carolina and Virginia State Trial Lawyers Associations.  He had a chapter published in the McGraw-Hill Trial Practice Series published in 1990 by Aron, Duffy and Rosner, which dealt with effective cross examinations of CEO, Board of Director members and General counsel for Ashland Oil in the successful 1988 $69,000,000.00 jury verdict Robinson helped win.

In 1998 Robinson changed his 8 person law firm to a family practice with his daughter Cameron and son-in-law Nick Kourtesis.  Robinson continued his handling of complex civil litigation (one intellectual property case  reaped a settlement in excess of over $100,000,000.00), security fraud cases in the Southern Districts of New York and Florida, real estate frauds, murders and immigration litigation matters.  His son-in-law developed an outstanding skill and reputation in DUI /DWI, traffic and personal injury cases.  Hence the firm handles complicated civil and criminal case.  The firm has a track record of remarkable success in all these referenced areas of litigation over a 35 year time frame in practice.  Robinson trained at the Justice Department for 4 years and tested for 40 years as a trial attorney skilled in preparation, cross examination, proving civil cases and winning judgments and raising reasonable doubts in criminal case.  Yet, the firm is a busy, successful defender of those charged in misdemeanor criminal and traffic matters, expert in DWI/DUI and automobile accident cases, work expertly done by Nick Kourtesis.  No client is too little nor big for Robinson- Kourtesis to represent and help.
